ABOUT XTEQ X-UPDATE FOR X-SETUP 

 X-Update for X-Setup (XUPD) is an application that 
 allows you to update your plug-ins and wizards from 
 different internet sites. 

 Normally, you will get your updates from the "Xteq 
 Systems Official X-Setup Plug-ins Page" but third 
 party developers can also be configured as the source 
 for the updates.

X-UPDATE NEEDS INTERNET EXPLORER

 To work properly, XUPD requires Internet Explorer 
 4.0 installed and configured properly (reads: you
 can enter an URL in Internet Explorer and view the
 page). 

 XUPD automatically uses the settings from Internet
 Explorer so once IE is configured, XUPD will be able
 to connect to the Internet.

 It should work with most Proxies but if you have
 trouble, try to use XUPD/IE without a Proxy.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

 Please close all X-Setup applications before using 
 XUPD. 

 XUPD does not crash the other X-Setup applications, 
 but XUPD can not update any file that is used by 
 any other application.

HOW IT WORKS

 The main "data" XUPD uses is stored inside CSV 
 (Comma Seperated Values) files that are provided by 
 plug-in developers. These CSV files are download from 
 the internet and compared to the files you have 
 currently installed. 

 XUPD then displays this list and allows you to select 
 which files you wish to download. If you finally press 
 the "Update" button, XUPD downloads the selected files
 and installs them. 

 You can always control which CSV files XUPD download 
 by checking the "Sites" tab inside the "Options" 
 Window of XUPD.
